Leicester City defender Camron Gbadebo has signed for Manchester City after a successful trial.
The 17-year-old centre-half, who was highly rated by some members of Leicester staff, only made 11 appearances for the Under-18s after joining in the summer of 2018.
The teenager’s last appearance came in a 5-1 victory against Swansea City in October, but it is understood that Manchester City were impressed with his performances and invited him to the Etihad Campus for a trial.
“I’m so happy to announce that I’ve signed for @mancity,” Gbadebo wrote on Instagram. “Thank you to every one that has supported me on my journey so far. This is only just the beginning!”
Having spent time with Crystal Palace and Watford as a youngster, Gbadebo joined Leicester from the Kinetic Foundation academy in Croydon.
Meanwhile, Development Squad midfielder Conor Tee has joined Bulgarian second division side OFC Pirin Blagoevgrad on a season-long loan.
