Two young centre backs have agreed scholarship contracts with Leicester City.

Johnly Yfeko has joined the club from Tottenham Hotspur, while Daniel Obi makes the switch from London-based independent academy EastSoccerBase.

The duo have joined the Foxes’ Under-16s squad and will move up to the Under-18s, managed by Trevor Peake, as first-year scholars in the 2019-20 season.

Leicester have been actively seeking to add central defenders to their Under-16 squad, with Chelsea defender Bright Arrey-Mbi recently on trial at Belvoir Drive.

It appears that Leicester have already made a decision on Arrey-Mbi, with the 15-year-old since appearing for West Ham Under-18s as a trialist.
