Leicester City Under-18s manager Trevor Peake has contact the Football Association of Ireland to discuss the possibility of Conor Tee being called up by his country.
The 17-year-old midfielder is eligible to play for Ireland through his maternal grandmother and has ambitions to play for the Irish national team.
In an interview with The Mayo News, Conor’s uncle Seán confirmed that Peake has contacted the FAI.
“He wants to play for Ireland and the Leicester Under 18 manager has been in contact with the FAI,” he said. “If he was to play, he would actually qualify through his granny as Maureen was born in England before we moved home not long after.”
