The son of former Leicester City striker Steve Howard trained with the club’s Under-23s recently.
Evan, 16, spent a week with the Development Squad and was told that coaches would monitor his progress.
“He has been back to Leicester for a couple of weeks to train with Steve Beaglehole to get some experience,” Steve Howard told The Athletic.
“They invited him back and will keep an eye on him, which is great.”
He added: “I went back with him and I couldn’t believe how much the club has changed. I spoke to Brendan Rodgers when I was there and I was so impressed how he was talking about the young lads that are coming through. They will be there or thereabouts this season.”
