Leicester City performance analyst Peter Clark has left the club to join the Football Association.

Clark, who had been at Leicester for eight years, became the FA’s Analysis Process Lead at the start of this month.

The club’s first team analysis team is led by Andy Blake and have been one of the club’s most innovative departments over the last few years. The performance analysis department has been constantly developing with new methods, techniques and metrics.

In 2016, the department held a Tactical Insights even at King Power Stadium, which saw a variety of speakers including Erik Hamren and Roy Hodgson, who were then in charge of Sweden and England respectively.

Clarke and Blake presented at the OptaPro Conference in 2017 about how they use data during opposition scouting.
