Leicester City midfielder Oli Ewing will represent Wales Under-17s during their European Championship qualifying campaign next month.
The 16-year-old has been named in the squad to face Slovenia, Netherlands and Kosovo from October 7 until October 16.
Despite being a first-year scholar, Ewing is the club’s Under-18 captain and has impressed so far this season after being pushed forward into a number 10 role.
Ewing has made six appearances this term, most recently featuring in the team’s 5-1 victory away at Swansea City.
Meanwhile, fellow midfielder Adam Leathers was substituted off in the first half of the Swansea match after picking up an injury.
