Hastings United manager Chris Agutter has confirmed that Leicester City are interested in two of his teenage players.
The Foxes have expressed their interest in 19-year-old central defender Jamie Fielding and midfielder Adam Lovatt, who is also 19.
“There has has been interest from Leicester City in both Jamie Fielding and Adam Lovatt,” Agutter told FoxesHub.
“Both players have enjoyed very successful seasons with the Club which has undoubtedly prompted Leicester City’s interest.”
On Tuesday (April 8), teamTALK reported that Leicester have ‘opened talks’ with Hastings – who play in the Bostik League South East Division – over a move for Fielding. Agutter insists, however, that there is ‘just interest on both fronts at this stage’.
Lovatt has previously spent time on trial with Leeds United and saw a move to Sunderland break down at the end of the January transfer window. He has also been linked with Brighton, Crystal Palace and Watford.
