Leicester City will host a tournament for Under-17 teams at the club’s training ground today (Thursday, April 11).
The Foxes will compete in the tournament themselves, alongside the club’s International Academy, AFC Bournemouth and Shrewsbury Town.
The tournament will see each team play five matches of thirty minutes, with several Under-16 players likely to feature.
Centre-backs Daniel Obi and Johnly Yfeko, who signed scholarship contracts with the Foxes earlier this season, may play a part in the competition.
Former Stoke City defender Bailey Aisthorpe may also appear after making his debut for the Under-18s recently.
“I’m looking forward to it,” said Bournemouth Under-18s manager Alan Connell ahead of the tournament.
“It’s an Under-17s tournament and we will take our Under-16s who will be with us next season, as well as our first years now, so basically next season’s youth team.”
