Leicester City teenager Ben Nelson has been called up to the Scotland Under-17 squad.

Nelson plays his club football at Under-16 level and will be hoping to earn a scholarship for the following two seasons.

The Scottish Under-17 team, managed by Brian McLaughlin, will face Armenia, Iceland and Croatia in European Championship qualifiers from October 22-27.

Also included in the squad are Bayern Munich’s Liam Morrison and Michael Mellon of Burnley.

Meanwhile, Leicester goalkeeper Chituru Odunze has been called up to the United States Under-17 squad for the World Cup.
