Leicester City are reportedly ‘lining-up’ Gary Cahill as a potential replacement for Harry Maguire.
Cahill is available on a free transfer after leaving Chelsea at the end of last season and has emerged as a target for the Foxes, according to the Sun.
Maguire is the subject of interest from Manchester United and Manchester City, who are both said to have made bids for the England defender.
Despite being 33, Cahill would be a good option for Leicester’s defence and can provide experience to the likes of Caglar Soyuncu and Filip Benkovic.
However, the report claims that Leicester would face heavy competition for Cahill and that the player would prefer to remain in London.
