Leicester City striker Josh Eppiah has scored his first goal since February 2018 after returning from a long-term injury.

The 20-year-old missed all of last season with a serious back injury and has only played a small handful of games in recent weeks.

Eppiah scored the third goal as the Foxes’ Under-23s recorded a 3-0 victory against Southampton at Holmes Park, the Leicestershire FA headquarters in Whetstone.

Left-back Luke Thomas also impressed during the game, in which Eldin Jakupović and Filip Benković each completed 90 minutes.

Khanya Leshabela and Callum Wright were also on the scoresheet for Leicester on the same night that their senior counterparts recorded a record 9-0 victory over the Saints.
