Leicester City goalkeeper Chituru Odunze has been called up to the United States Under-17 squad.
The team will face Mexico, Netherlands and Denmark in a Four Nations tournament from September 5 to September 9.
Having joined from Vancouver Whitecaps over the summer, Odunze has made two starts for the Foxes’ Under-18s so far and saved a penalty during their 2-1 defeat to Fulham on Wednesday.
Odunze will also be eligible for the FIFA Under-17 World Cup, which will take place across October and November.
This season, he will compete with Oliver Bosworth to keep his place between the sticks for the Under-18s.
Under-16 goalkeeper Josh Lane has featured on the substitutes bench.
