Former Development Squad assistant manager Nicky Eaden has backed trialist Danny Lupano to achieve success in professional football.

The 18-year-old Hednesford Town right-back featured for Leicester’s Development Squad in a 3-0 defeat to Arsenal yesterday (April 26).

Ex-Leicester coach Eaden, who left his role as Hednesford Town manager earlier this month, has praised his former player’s attitude as he looks to make his career in the professional game.

“Danny is a great kid, with a great attitude to his football,” Eaden told FoxesHub.

“He wants to learn and improve but what impressed me most is his willingness to play at any level in order to prove himself.

“He’s gone from playing non league against men, then to one of the country’s top academies. I really wish him well, he deserves a chance.”

Lupano previously played for Solihull Moors before being picked up by Birmingham City in 2018. After leaving the Blues, he linked up with Eaden at Hednesford Town and has had trials at Wolverhampton Wanderers and Hull City.
