A scout from Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt was in attendance as Leicester City Under-23s fell to a 3-0 defeat against Arsenal last Friday (April 26).
Bundesliga scouts have been a regular sight at Premier League 2 games this season, and while the scout in question will have most likely been looking at Arsenal stars, a couple of Leicester players may have attracted attention.
Despite the scoreline, Foxes goalkeeper Viktor Johansson put in an impressive performance with a string of eye-catching and important saves. Substitute Terell Pennant – making his Development Squad debut aged 16 – also showed his ability after some excellent individual performances for the Under-18s.
Meanwhile, Leicester forward Harrison Myring is on trial with West Ham United. Teammates Leon James and Dylan Bollard have also been informed that their contracts will not be extended this summer.
