Former Fox becomes police officer in Leicestershire

Former Leicester City academy graduate Tommy Wright has joined Leicestershire Police as a student officer, the force has announced.

The 36-year-old will be based at Euston Road Custody Centre in the city, just one mile from the King Power Stadium.

Wright played for the Leicester City first team between 2001 and 2006 and had an impressive Football League career before moving into coaching and management in 2013.

Last year, he told The Athletic that he was interested in a senior coaching role within the club’s academy but no such position came to fruition.

FoxesHub would like to wish Tommy all the best in his new career.
