Leicester City midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has attracted the attention of Championship clubs with his impressive performances on loan at Blackpool.
The 21-year-old joined the League One side in January on a loan deal until the end of the season and has quickly become a fans’ favourite at Bloomfield Road.
In his first eight games, the central midfielder has scored three goals, including a 90th minute winner against Bolton Wanderers, and provided one assist.
Sources have said that Dewsbury-Hall’s performances have attracted scouts from Championship clubs, who are likely to be interested in taking him on loan for the 2020-21 season.
“Kiernan got off to the best possible start up in Blackpool,” said a source close to Leicester City.
“The fans love him up there and Championship scouts are scrambling to go and have a look at this new kid on the block.”
Another source added: “He won’t be in League One next season, that is for sure. Hopefully Leicester are going to carefully monitor his progression up the leagues, as they are doing with (Daniel) Iversen at Rotherham United.”
Dewsbury-Hall joined Blackpool the week after his first team debut for Leicester City, which came during a 1-0 FA Cup victory away at Brentford. He came on in the second half and looked confident on the ball as he ensured that Leicester remained compact in the middle of the pitch.
At the start of this season, Dewsbury-Hall committed his future to Leicester City by signing a contract which will keep him at the club until the summer of 2022.
