Leicester City defender Lukáš Hušek has signed for Czech Republican side AC Sparta Prague on a three-year deal.
The 19-year-old returns to his home country after joining the Foxes as a 15-year-old in 2016 and will be a part of his new club’s ‘B’ team.
Hušek is a Czech Republic Under-20 international and played 38 games for Leicester’s Under-18s, as well as one appearance for the Development Squad.
“Lots of motivation and experience,” Hušek said, when asked what English football had given him.
“Although I did not get shortlisted in Leicester, it is both a motivation for the future and an experience that I know how it goes abroad. Now I am in Sparta and my current goal is to make it to the A-team, play and maybe get to England again.”
