Youngsters earn Under-21 international recognition

Leicester City quartet Daniel Iversen, Rhys Davies, Alex Pascanu and Lamine Kaba Sherif have been called up to their country’s Under-21 squads.

Goalkeeper Iversen, who is on loan at League Two side Oldham Athletic, joins the Denmark Under-21 squad for a friendly against Belgium Under-21s on Wednesday, March 20.

There is further international representation in goalkeepers’ corner as Rhys Davies earns his first call-up to the Welsh Under-21 side for a training camp which will run from March 19-22.

Davies will be joined at the training camp by former Leicester trialist Momodou Touray, who is currently on loan at Barry Town from League Two side Newport County.

After tasting the senior international environment, Alex Pascanu returns to the Romania Under-21 set-up for Spain Under-21s on Thursday, March 21.

OH Leuven loanee Bartosz Kapustka is with the Poland Under-21 side for their clash against England Under-21s on Thursday, March 21. He will line up against Leicester quartet Harvey Barnes, James Maddison, Demarai Gray and Hamza Choudhury.

Meanwhile, Lamine Kaba Sherif is with Guinea Under-21s and six-foot-seven defender Lukas Husek is away with Czech Republic Under-19s.
