Leicester City defender Alex Pascanu has attracted interest from FCSB, who are currently second in Romania’s top division.
The 20-year-old sparked interest amongst Romanian clubs when he was called up to the Romania senior team earlier this season, although he has yet to make his senior debut after a string of impressive performances for his country’s Under-21 side.
Pascanu’s contract with Leicester City expires in the summer and FoxesHub understands that the Foxes are yet to offer him an extension.
Romanian outlet sport.ro have reported that FCSB owner Gigi Becali ‘will start negotiations’ with Pascanu, although it is unclear whether this will be for a permanent transfer or a six-month loan.
Pascanu has told ProTV (per sport.ro) that he would be interested in joining the Romanian side on loan until end of the season: “For the next six months it would be a good step, I have to take a step towards a team of seniors. Liga I is a strong championship.”
